I don’t know why, but choosing a perfect hotel is always the hardest part when planning our trips. Why? Here we go. Some are too far away from the city, other ones have supposedly bad food, I don’t like the decor of the next few ones, and even when we finally find something kind of cool, the night there costs a small fortune… Even when we finally decide on something, we’re still wondering whether we made a right choice! However, if you’re facing troubles finding a perfect hotel in Paros, we, fortunately, have a good answer for you. Mr & Mrs White hotel is an ideal place.

Mr & Mrs White Hotel – location

The hotel itself is located near Naoussa (beautiful small village, I wrote about it more in our Paros guide), within a walking distance to the town center (15-20 minutes). It’s situated nearby (although not exactly on) the most beautiful beaches on the island: Agioi Anargyroi, Santa Maria (perfect for surfers) or the famous Kolimbithres. The hotel is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) organization, bringing together the best and most unique boutique hotels in the world. We were once in a hotel belonging to SLH before (in Mykonos) and were delighted. As soon as I saw that Mrs & Mrs White is a part of SLH, I immediately felt that it would be perfect in every way. I wasn’t wrong at all!

Rooms & Interiors

I love the bright interiors, the combination of white and grey with natural wood. This makes the rooms seem spacious and ideal for quiet relaxation. Mr & Mrs White has been set up in this slightly minimalist decor with the Cycladic spirit. The reception itself amazed me and I guess I spent at least an hour taking pics of every detail there 🙂 Not to mention the swing! Apparently, all the guests immediately want to sit and rock there.

We were very pleasantly surprised because at check in we were informed about a free upgrade. Thanks to that we had a room overlooking the pool and the sea. The interior of the room is decorated in similar color schemes as the reception, which works very relaxing for me. We especially liked the balcony (or rather the view from it).

The hotel has two swimming pools. I liked the concept of sun loungers that float just above the water. What a cool idea!

Food: breakfast & restaurant

Mr & Mrs White Hotel has a really amazing restaurant and pool bar. We ate at there several times and we must admit that the food was exceptional. I fell in love with the linguini with zucchini and mint pesto, served with local goat cheese… Also, all the cocktails we tried in the pool bar were simply delicious. If you’re more into some orient vibes, there is also a shisha bar waiting for you.

The hotel also offers a delicious breakfast. A wide selection of products including freshly baked rolls and cakes. I honestly say that this is really worth emphasizing because usually, hotels in Greece usually serve mediocre breakfast. Believe me, I know what I’m saying. Even some of the best hotels in Santorini could disappoint… Here, everything was really perfect. It was wonderful to start the day with a Greek yogurt with nuts and local honey! I totally recommend bougatsa, a filo pastry filled with vanilla cream, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Yummy!

Mr & Mrs White Hotel – service

Ok, let’s be honest – the rooms or the food in the hotels are often very good, but what distinguishes these best ones from just-another-hotel is the exceptional service. Thanks to it, you remember about some place for years, while quickly forget another one. The service at Mr & Mrs White definitely belongs to the first category. Everyone is very welcoming and smiling. But most importantly – they remain relaxed despite working in a luxury hotel. Thanks to this, you can really feel at home. Immediately after check-in, we were greeted with a welcome drink by the hotel manager. She spent an hour with us not only talking about the hotel but also about Paros itself. She led us to the room, taking care of all the details. Also, the waiters at the restaurant were soooo nice, service was definitely top-notch. These little things make you remember your stay for a long time.

Mr & Mrs White hotel – our review

Mr & Mrs White hotel is really unique, it was perfect for our relaxing holiday for two. The service was top notch and I fell in love with the bright interiors and Cycladic, laid-back but still luxurious atmosphere. We spent a really great time here, but without a snobbish joke – total luz. If you have kids then I must warn you that this is not the hotel for really small kids or toddlers. The pools are pretty deep (even 3 meters) and there is not many attractions for the kids like a playground. Everything is focused on rather adult customers, perfect for a romantic getaway. Also, it may be a bit off the beaten track for some. We spent the whole stay using the car anyway, so it didn’t really bother us. To be honest, we even appreciated the lack of the usual city noise. We will be back definitely!
