Picture a place where music envelops you. Nestled in the heart of Budapest, this hidden gem offers an extraordinary experience. In 2017, it skyrocketed to the top of TripAdvisor’s rankings, outshining more famous competitors. With over 91% of its 1200+ reviews awarding it a full five stars, it’s clearly in a league of its own. For my birthday, Michał made my dream come true with a surprise trip to the captivating Hungarian capital. The highlight of our journey? Our stay at the remarkable Aria Hotel, the best hotel in the world.
Aria Hotel Budapest – the best hotel in the world

But that’s not all. Every day, the hotel hosts an afternoon tasting of Hungarian wines and cheeses for guests. Furthermore, a pianist plays various jazz standards in the background. The hotel even has its “musical concierge” who takes care of a music library with CD records. Additionally, you’ll enjoy evening video shows of the most famous operas and concerts in Teatrio Aria – perfect for real connoisseurs.
If you’re longing for relaxation, musically inspired massages await you at Harmony SPA. Moreover, don’t miss the hotel’s top floor (open to all) with the year-round open High Note SkyBar terrace, offering breathtaking views of the entire city.

What about rooms?
As mentioned, each room is dedicated to a different artist or opera. For instance, we got Billie Holiday, which translated into a glamorous Hollywood-style room. While it might not align with our minimalist tastes, it certainly leaves a positive impression. It exudes luxury and elegance, just as the best hotel in the world should. The enormous stage spotlight was a personal favorite.
Furthermore, your room comes with a smartphone, which you can take with you around the city as your guide. You can make calls and use the internet for free. Quite a perk!

What else?
Breakfast is included in your stay and follows the “farm to table” philosophy. In the hotel’s underground, you’ll find a spa, pools, and saunas. At the pools, you’ll discover lamps and lounges straight from the tales of 1001 Nights. It’s worth mentioning that the hotel is situated right in the heart of Budapest, near St. Stephen’s Basilica. If you’d like to plan your Budapest sightseeing, the hotel’s staff is more than willing to assist or book tickets for specific attractions. We especially recommend the evening Danube river cruise – it’s beautiful. Did the best hotel in the world enchant us? Yes, it’s undoubtedly a unique place.

Aria Hotel Budapest – our review
If you’re a music enthusiast, you’ll feel like you’re in paradise here. The staff provides top-notch service and is incredibly helpful. And the “musical director” is truly exceptional. The hotel’s design is somewhat “unique.” Admittedly, I’m more inclined toward minimalist hotels in Santorini. Nevertheless, you can feel the luxury and glamour here. It’s worth noting that you can spend a “night with a star” at the hotel and reserve a room associated with your favorite artist.
It’s genuinely a fantastic idea for a unique gift for someone closely tied to music. This hotel is truly exceptional, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it for special occasions.
